Zoology Syllabus for BSc (As per UGC)

BSc Zoology Syllabus: For 1st, 2nd & 3rd Year
The complete course of BSc in Zoology consists of 3 years. Each year is divided into two semesters – thus 6 semesters in total. The syllabus of each of the 6 semesters is as shown below:
BSc 1st Year Zoology Syllabus
The syllabus of 1st year includes four core courses namely Non-Chordates I, Ecology, Non-Chordates II & Cell-Biology.

BSc 2nd Year Zoology Syllabus
In the 2nd year, the number of books increased by 1 in each semester. Diversity of Chordates, Physiology: Controlling and Coordinating Systems & Fundamentals of Biochemistry are the books that you will have to study in Semester III.
On the other hand, books in Semester IV comprise Comparative Anatomy of Vertebrates, Physiology: Life-Sustaining Systems & Biochemistry of Metabolic Processes.

In the final year of BSc, you will have to study Molecular Biology & Principles of Genetics in the second last semester. The final semester includes Developmental & Evolutionary Biology.
