## BSc Statistics Course Details

The BSc in Statistics is a 3-year degree program that is aimed at providing students with an opportunity to learn and develop the skills necessary to enter a professional or academic career in statistical analysis.

The program is designed for students who want to enter the field of mathematics, statistics, or applied statistics to provide statistical analysis services to business, governmental, and non-profit organizations.

Eligibility: 10 + 2 from recognized board with Mathematics & 50% marks.

## BSc Statistics Syllabus

The course covers topics like mathematical statistics, probability, experimental design, descriptive and inferential statistics, as well as linear, generalized linear, and non-linear models.

Students in the BSc in Statistics will also learn how to analyze data, as well as how to use statistical software.

### BSc 1st Year Statistics Syllabus

The BSc 1st year statistics syllabus is divided into 2 semesters, Semester 1 and 2. The first semester of statistics is mainly focused on descriptive statistics and calculus, with a few probability and probability distributions topics.

The sixth semester will introduce students to the field of statistics. Students will learn the fundamentals of statistics including the principles of experimental design, estimation, and hypothesis testing.

Students will be introduced to the concept of statistical inference, tests for performance and reliability, hypothesis testing, survival analysis, and multivariate analysis.
