Jobs in Indian Armed Forces after Class 12th
Indian Armed Forces comprise three main services, i.e. Indian Army, Navy & Air Force.
Along with that, Indian Coast Guard & paramilitary forces are also a part of armed forces.

As a Soldier in the Indian Army:
One can join the Indian army as a soldier for posts of Clerk, Ground Duty, Tradesman, etc. The complete detail regarding all the soldier jobs in Indian army are:
1. GD (Ground Duty)
GD stands for Ground Duty. The soldiers, troops, drivers, gunners, etc come under it. These are the ground-level troops that work on the battlefield.
Eligibility:
Candidates should have passed class 10th with a minimum of 33% in each subject with at least 45% as an aggregate.
The clerk has nothing to do with battlegrounds. The main task of an army clerk is to maintain documents & paperwork.
It is easier compared to GD & technical. However, you need to be good at your studies. The entrance exam for Clerk is much more difficult compared to others.
Eligibility:
Candidates should have Accounts or Maths or Bookkeeping in their 10+2 with at least 60% marks & 50% in each subject.

6. Artificer Apprentice (AA)
As an artificer candidates will undergo 9 weeks basic training at INS Chilka followed by professional training in the allotted trade at various Naval training establishments.
Qualification:
Passed Class-XII examination with 60% or above in aggregate with Physics & Maths and studied at least one of the subjects:
Biology/Chemistry/Computer Science from an educational board recognized by the Central/ State government.
Age Limit: Age between 17-20 years on the day of enrolment.

How to Apply for NMR?
Download forms from joinindiannavy.gov.in.
Fill the form correctly. Paste passport-size photograph on the form. Put an attested copy (by a Gazetted Officer) of relevant educational Certificate/Marksheet.
Two self addressed brown envelopes also have to be submitted along with the form and certificate/marksheet. Only one envelope should have a 10 Rupee stamp. Write NMR (Batch number)– District marks scored in the exam.

The Navik (Sailor) Exam is conducted by the Indian Coast Guards for the recruitment of Sailors.
Qualification:
Passed class 12th with Maths and Physics from a recognized Central/State Government educational board with an aggregate of minimum 50% marks.
Relaxation of 5% in cut off marks for SC/ST candidate & brilliant sportsperson who have received 1st, 2nd, or 3rd position in any sports at the Open National/ Inter-state Championship.
Age Limit: Age should be above 18 & below 22 years.
Upper age relaxation is as:
5 years for SC/ST
3 years for OBC

This exam is conducted to recruit candidates as an officer in the army’s engineering core twice a year through the Indian Army Technical Entry Scheme (Army TES).

The following pay band 1 (5200 – 20200) + the Grade Pay of 1800 rupees is for MTS officers.
