I’m going to tell you about different series of Hydrogen Spectrum which are as follows:

i) Lyman Series :

When an electron jumps from outer orbits to innermost orbit (also called the ground orbit), then the spectral lines obtained are called Lyman Series.
This series lie in Ultraviolet region.
In Lyman Series :

When electron jumps from second orbit to first orbit the corresponding spectral line is called Hα .When electron jumps from third to first orbit, the corresponding spectral line is called Hβ and so on..

ii) Balmer Series :

When an electron jumps from outer orbits to second innermost orbit, then the spectral lines obtained are called Balmer Series.
This series lie in visible region.
In Balmer Series :

       





iii) Paschen Series :

When an electron jumps from outer orbits to third orbit, then the spectral lines obtained are called Paschen Series.
This series lie in Infrared region.
In Paschen Series :

iv) Brackett Series :

When an electron jumps from outer orbits to fourth orbit, then the spectral lines obtained are called Brackett Series.
This series also lie in Infrared region.

v) Pfund Series :

When an electron jumps from outer orbits to fifth orbit, then the spectral lines obtained are called Pfund Series.
This series also lie in Infrared region.
